Leaving school, Bruce entered an electrician’s apprenticeship and qualified a few years later. As soon as he finished he was offered a position as an electrical inspector at theAtomic Weapon Establishment in Aldermaston and worked there for 2 years. This is where his passion for the construction industry really sparked during this period, and he was good at it! After studying for two years he became a member of the Chartered Institute for Builders and then progressed onwards from there. Throughout the year, Bruce has enjoyed positions across the nation working on a vast range of projects from prisons to hospitals and schools to office complexes.

2013 was an incredible year for Bruce, buying a share of Pemberton Homes, the business he formed in some 12 years earlier. Pemberton Homes are specialist luxury home builders working throughout the Southwest including; Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Cornwall.

At the same time, he joined the Pathfinder Homes team in, originally on a 3-month consultancy contract. I found my experience and varied skill set within the construction and development industry offered transferable skills to the process of building a lodge or park home, essentially it’s the same principles. Bruce transformed the company, going on to implement dynamic processes and supporting the team during an intense period of large orders and needless to say. In 2016 the company underwent a management buyout & Bruce was installed as MD.

Now, Bruce has started his next venture, Paladin Park Home, a company focussed on transforming land into some of the best parks in the country
